The other mother wants Coraline to love her and to stay with her forever but Coraline knows that she not real. The Other Mother is Coraline’s unreal mother, she can change into different people, with buttons for eyes. Another character is called the Other Mother. One night Coraline opens the door and the bricks are gone. However, one day she finds a door that has been sealed up by bricks. Coraline is an adventurous girl who is easily bored. The main character Coraline is a 10 year old girl. He received the National Book Award for “The Ocean at the End of the Lane” in 2013.
